Making your own hot chocolate is so much cheaper than buying supermarket powders, and this way you know exactly what's in it. Plus, this one is super yummy and really easy to whip up.
1 cup of coconut, rice or almond milk
2 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp honey
1 drop peppermint essential oil
Here's what you do...
1. Heat milk in a pot on the stove.
2. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
I occasionally choose to use essential oils in my food. I recommend using a quality brand, that has been tested for safety, and deemed appropriate to use in food. Please do not buy cheap oils as these often have fillers in them, even when they say they're 100% pure or all natural. If you prefer not to use essential oils or don't have any, then just leave them out.
